Banknote Validation System (BVS)

The core of the DORS 230 counterfeit detection machine is the innovative Banknote Validation System (BVS) that features high-resolution multi-range CIS (contact image sensor) technology used to authenticate the image of banknotes with high accuracy. The Banknote Validation System (BVS) will scan through each banknote as it passes through the detector by transmitting light at six wavelengths within the infrared and visible range. The built-in validation system recognises a banknote’s currency and denomination, and then verifies its security features. If the note is genuine, it becomes a part of current session’s result. This BVS technology was developed by DORS’ R&D department and is protected by six patents for inventions in Russia and other countries.

Unlimited Currencies

The DORS 230 currency detector supports unlimited currencies, including USD, EUR, MYR, CNY, GBP, THB, JPY, and many more, all in one database. These currencies are recognised automatically by the contact image sensor (CIS), thus the user does not need to do any manual configuration.

User friendly Interface

The DORS 230 counterfeit detector is equipped with a high-resolution 3.5″ (8.9cm) colour LCD screen for displaying the total number and amount of verified currency and denomination of genuine banknotes on the multilingual graphic animated interface.

Flexible Output Method of Rejected Notes

The DORS 230 counterfeit detection machine allows its user to choose the output method for the rejected notes: through the rear slots or back through the input slot. For example, if the user chooses for the rejected notes to go back to the input slot, a suspicious note will be returned to the input slot as a “Banknote is rejected” message appears on the screen. The rejected notes will not be included in a total number of verified banknotes.

Helpful Menu

The menu on the DORS 230 counterfeit detector allows the user to:

• adjust machine functions, such as the screen’s theme, sound level, etc. according to the user’s preferences,
• choose banknotes’ output method,
• switch on the USB connection to a PC, and
• convert the rate of a currency against other currencies using current exchange rates (‘we buy’ or ‘we sell’).

Online Software Update

The DORS 230 banknote counterfeit detector enables the user to upgrade software easily through the Internet via a PC that is connected to the DORS 230. The compatible software version is provided automatically in the server without additional charges.
