PT Murni Aims to Digitalize and Transform Business with StarFIN Asia

Jakarta, April 2022 – PT Murni Solusindo Nusantara (PT Murni) and StarFIN Asia Sdn Bhd (StarFIN) – two prominent technology companies that specialize in developing advanced payment system solutions for the banking and financial industry – established a joint venture company in Indonesia called PT Murni Bintang International (MBI).

As technology continues to play an increasingly critical role in every aspect of business, there is a need to accelerate digital transformation and ensure the companies remain as the leader in their industry.

PT Murni, as a solution provider with more than 30 years of experience in developing various critical payment systems for the Central Bank and all major banks in Indonesia, always strives to innovate and pave the way for digital transformation in Indonesia.

StarFIN, as a market-leading company with a business presence in Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Pakistan, and other Asian countries, aims to expand its business further by entering the Indonesian market. As the 4th largest populated country (277 million) in the world, Indonesia has a huge potential market with over 100 banks, 1,000 non-bank financial institutions, and over 60 million SMEs.

Hence, with the establishment of this joint venture, MBI aims to expand the business into Indonesia and the global market by combining PT Murni and StarFIN expertise in digitalisation. Both the companies hope that this strategic partnership can add value and enhance their already popular and successfully-implemented solutions.

MBI for its first project has developed SMARTGATEWAY™ solution for BI-FAST payment transactions. SMARTGATEWAY™ is a ready-to-use application that connects Core Banking System (CBS) with the Central Bank BI-FAST system and requires zero to minimum modification on the internal system.

The next project for MBI is to enhance SMARTQUEUE® system, PT Murni’s customer experience solution, with e-KYC and signature verification system. This will be a game-changer for the customer experience improvement and digital onboarding process in Indonesia and the world. These solutions are expected to accelerate digital adoption and system transformation while maximizing security and providing benefits for all involved.

MBI will also introduce Robotics Process Automation (RPA) solution. This solution aims to speed up the SME adoption of Industry 4.0 by eliminating manual processes and minimizing human error with the utilization of software robots.

This joint venture is also a part of PT Murni’s business expansion towards IPO and is supported with digital solutions that PT Murni already has like the end-to-end customer experience solutions, AI-powered digital signage solutions, innovative self-service solutions, digital marketing services, and many more, PT Murni is committed to accelerating digital transformation for businesses across industries.
